Mini 60 start as guest class in DKM

Chrono Karting announces Mini 60 Series

Frankfurt am Main/Eindhoven: The German Kart Championship is looking forward to a new addition. The Dutch promoter Chrono Karting has announced the Mini 60 Series by Chrono Karting for three events. This means that the youngest drivers in karting also have the chance to present themselves in the environment of the highest German kart racing series.

"We are very pleased to welcome the Mini 60 in our environment. Chrono Karting has a lot of experience in karting and is responsible for the class as promoter. This is an enrichment for the entire championship," says a delighted DKM series coordinator Stefan Wagner about the new cooperation.

At the races in Mülsen, Genk (BEL) and Kerpen, the young racers from the Mini class will compete. The races will be held in accordance with the international CIK karting regulations, which means that the series also offers a perfect basis for international drivers. Youngsters from the age of 10 are eligible to start, and the age-group rule applies (2010-2013). A national karting license with permission to start abroad is required for the start. The starting field will be limited to 36 participants per event.

The race program for the Mini 60 class is analogous to the DKM classes. The practice sessions will take place on Friday, followed by another practice session, qualifying and the heats on Saturday. Sunday starts with a warm-up and two final races. The top five will be honoured with trophies. The Mini 60 will also start with Vega tyres and the emission-free e-fuel from P1 Fuels.

All details and the online registration can be found on the website of promoter Chrono Karting www.chrono.nl in the Mini 60 Series section. The three events will be held as single events, the entry fee per event is 400€ incl. VAT. The online entry can also be made as a block entry for all three races.

"For our event in Wackersdorf, we deliberately decided against a guest series. Due to the World Shifter Kart Championship two weeks later, we expect some guest drivers and would like to stick to our schedule. At the finale in Franciacorta, however, we expect the mini drivers again. Initial talks are already underway," Stefan Wagner adds in conclusion.
