Maranello Kart at the KZ2 International Super Cup in Genk

Maranello Kart’s expectations are high ahead of the International CIK-FIA race in Genk with Francesco Iacovacci, Enrico Bernardotto and Toon De Winter.

Following the good performance scored at the Italian Championship, the next on track commitment for Maranello Kart is set for the weekend of September 9th in Genk (Belgium) where the most important CIK-FIA International event is due: the International Super Cup for KZ2, that will take place in a joint event with the KZ World Championship and Academy Trophy.

The main event of the International KZ2 season is about to get underway in Genk and the category sees 105 drivers at the start. Maranello Kart will line up two Italian drivers, namely, Francesco Iacovacci assisted by SG Race and Enrico Bernardotto assisted SRP Racing Team, that will be joined by the Dutch Toon De Winter, who is in force at Maranello Kart’s reseller in Holland TR Motoren, and will benefit from the technical support by SG Race.

Maranello Kart’s expectations for Genk are quite high because Iacovacci and Bernardotto are among the quickest drivers on the International scene and have good chances to shine in this appointment that is the world-class event for KZ2.

Francesco Iacovacci made his debut with Maranello Kart recently at the Italian Championship’s round in Val Vibrata and the approach of the driver to the new team and material has been great, which allowed him to put in top class performances in his first racing weekend with Maranello and SG Race. Enrico Bernardotto, also very quick, was back on a Maranello Kart chassis after the different experiences he had in the past couple of years. Bernardotto will be assisted by SRP Racing Team.

 

The program of Genk’s weekend:

Thursday September 6th: Free practice.

Friday September 7th: Free practice, Qualifying practice from 16:25.

Saturday September 8th: Qualifying heats from 9:40 to 13:00, from 14:00 to 19:25.

Sunday September 9th: Qualifying heats from 10:05 to 12:45. Final from 13:55.
