Kosmic Kart In Sarno For The Fia Karting European Championship
The Kosmic Kart Racing Department is looking for redemption at the International Circuit of Naples (Sarno, Italy) after the excellent pace shown in the first round in Spain.
After a break of almost three weeks from competition, the staff and drivers of the Kosmic Kart Racing Department led by Oliver Marechal are already on their way to the International Circuit of Naples where the second round of the FIA Karting European Championship OK andOKJ will start this weekend. A very important stage of the racing calendar year. Although they did not manage to fully achieve the teams objectives in the first round of the European event, they are still confident and optimistic to have all the qualifications and the competitiveness to be part of the leading role in the fight for the primary positions including being first (1st), thanks to the Kosmic Mercury R powered by Vortex with which Kosmic Kart drivers will take to the track.
Luigi Coluccio will once again be the driver in OK, a category in which he performed flawlessly in Spain. The comeback of regaining 13 positions in a final which was unfortunately influenced by a withdrawal in the Heats, this confirms that the Italian driver does not lack the speed and confidence with the OTK Kart Group equipment, and that in Sarno he can aspire to be amongst the very first drivers on the grid and bring home a result which would be the pinnacle of the excellent work accomplished this season.
Ean Eyckmans and Axel Malja are eager as well to make up for the bad luck which compromised their first round of the European Championship. Our OKJ drivers, in fact, were more than ready for one of the most anticipated events of the season, yet their outstanding speed times and the excellent race pace were thwarted by accidents which compromised the final results. With a little extra luck, they were confident that they will be able to complete an outstanding weekend with all three drivers. Unfortunately, Alexander Gubenko will not be present in Sarno, after a hand injury that has him to withdraw from the race.
