On this friday December 29th it is 10 years ago that Michael Schumacher was involved in a tragic skiing accident On this Friday December 29th, it is 10 years ago that Michael Schumacher was involved in a tragic skiing accident in Meribel France. The highly successful racing driver hit his head on a rock while skiing and suffered a severe brain injury. Since then, he has not appeared in public and no announcements about his condition are being made. Schumacher started his racing career in karting. He won his first karting championship at age six in a kart built from discarded parts. After having enjoyed success in karting such as winning the 1987 European Karting Championship he moved on quickly to the top. He also participated in the World Championship Formula Super A in Kerpen-Mannheim in a Tony Kart Extreme. This kart can be seen in the Michael Schumacher Private Collection at Motorworld in Koln!
