Kas Haverkort sets the pace in the Zandvoort pre-collective test

It was a sunny afternoon today at Zandvoort when the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine competitors hit the track for the two-hour pre-collective test.

Kas Haverkort set the fastest lap of 1:31.739 at the wheel of a Van Amersfoort Racing car. The local driver set the pace in the last part of the session, ahead of ART Grand Prix’s Mari Boya who was just 0.012s further back in second, and 0.040s ahead of Monaco Race 1 winner Hadrien David (R-ace GP). Michael Belov (MP Motorsport) was fourth fastest (1:31.890), followed by the ART Grand Prix car of Gabriele Minì (1:31.998) and Prema Racing’s Paul Aron. 

Joshua Dufek (Van Amersfoort Racing) was the best among the rookie drivers in seventh position with a lap of 1:32.075. Positions eight to ten were filled by Sami Meguetounif (MP Motorsport) 1:32.122, Dino Beganovic (Prema Racing) 1:32.180, and Laurens Van Hoepen (ART Grand Prix) 1:32.255.

The collective tests will take place tomorrow at 9.00 and 13.50 local time.
