Karting Genk to host the RMC Grand Festival 2023

BRP-Rotax is pleased to announce that the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Festival will take place from September 1st to 3rd 2023 in cooperation with Karting Genk, partnering with GKS as the Authorized Rotax Distributor, at the famous ‘Home of Champions’ complex in Belgium.

For many seasons now, the RMC Grand Festival has built a reputation for being a fun and competitive karting event during the European summer break. It has enabled the young Rotax drivers in the Micro MAX and Mini MAX categories to experience the excitement of racing against children from other nations, as they further develop their own race skills. The idea of creating a fair contest, combined with the renowned parity of the Rotax 125 MAX Evo engines, helps the drivers gain confidence to excel – where they make the difference.

The two Rotax categories that feature on the program at the RMC Grand Festival 2023:

  • Rotax 125 Micro MAX                    8 to 11 years    (2012 - 2015)
  • Rotax 125 Mini MAX                      10 to 13 years  (2010 - 2013)

Along with the great experience racing at the challenging Karting Genk circuit, the eligible winners of the Micro- and Mini MAX classes at the Grand Festival will be awarded with a ticket for the RMC Grand Finals 2023, which takes place in December 2nd to 9th, at the Bahrain International Karting Circuit.

The RMC Grand Festival previously was organised and promoted by valuable partners within the Rotax global network in several countries, and became an annual highlight on the race calendar for the youngest Rotax drivers. The concept of the event is now being expanded by BRP-Rotax to introduce additional venues and organisations being involved in the next years. This will allow the RMC Grand Festival to increase the opportunities for even more newcomers to participate within their own region or area, competing in an international field, closer to home.

“The RMC Grand Festival for the Micro MAX and Mini MAX classes has had a great impact to date as a race festival which focuses on our youngest Rotax drivers. The experience competing within such an international environment is priceless,” says Peter Oelsinger, General Manager BRP-Rotax / Member of the Management Board, Vice President Sales, Marketing RPS-Business & Communications. “They ultimately develop their racing skills to keep improving, while they enjoy a memorable time together with their families and meet new friends. We recognise how important this is as we build a promising future for our wider Rotax karting community. By selecting alternative partners to host the RMC Grand Festival annually, it will continue to be a competitive event, that is exciting and fun this year and beyond.”

In 2023, Karting Genk is thrilled to be the nominated organiser for the first time in the history of the special Rotax event for Micro-and Mini MAX. Esmée Rosman, Circuit Manager responsible for events at the popular Limburg track, is counting down the days for entries to open now. “We are very excited to be hosting this year’s RMC Grand Festival. This event offers a unique experience for the youngest drivers of the Rotax family to race against drivers from all over the world in a professional setting, at one of the best tracks in the world. We aim to make this a race meeting that the drivers will remember for the rest of their lives. The Micro- and Mini MAX drivers are the stars of tomorrow, but they will be the stars of today at the 2023 Grand Festival.”

We’re looking forward to seeing you there!
