Jorrit and Stan Pex make the switch to Kart Republic for 2019: "The feeling was good!"

Stan and Jorrit Pex are switching from CRG to Kart Republic this season. The Limburg brothers are expecting to give their racing a new boost at the top of international karting in 2019. They will continue to be powered by TM where they are supplied with factory engines, as well as using a number of self-prepared engines.

Elder brother Jorrit became European champion once again with CRG last season. "It was a beautiful title and now I hope to repeat this achievement with yet another brand," he says. "It looks quite good. The feeling was good! During the test we did in Genk, the chassis was not far off the performance of CRG, but we believe this kart has even more possibilities."

Jorrit and Stan will compete in the FIA-Karting European Championship and World Championship, the DKM German Kart Championship and a few rounds of the WSK Series.

The intensive cooperation with Dino Chiesa from Kart Republic was obvious, Stan admits. "We wanted a new challenge and saw a lot of potential in Kart Republic. We have always had close contact with Dino and we have a lot of confidence in him, so the choice was not that difficult."

Father, Richard Pex, is also delighted with the deal. "It’s significant that this kart was competitive in all classes in which we competed last year," he explains. "Kart Republic was very successful at the World Championship in KZ1 (runner-up) and in the OK class (European and World Championship)."

Stan has also started a new dealership with Kart Republic. He uses this chassis for his kart team SP Tuning, which he runs in addition to his own race program. For this, Stan receives support from the factory in Italy, so he is basically assured that his 12 team drivers always have top equipment. "I’m in contact with Dino almost every day and we have all new equipment, which I drive with as well."

With SP Tuning this season, Stan will contest the Dutch championship in the Rotax MAX classes, along with the BNL and the BMC in Belgium. He is looking forward to it. "We have improved the team with some excellent local mechanics who are a good group of guys that all work well together."
