Jaguar TCS Racing has announced the participation of Jamie Chadwick and Lilou Wadoux in the Formula E Women's Test

Jaguar TCS Racing have announced that Jamie Chadwick and Lilou Wadoux will take part in the 2024/25 Formula E Women’s Test. Three-time W Series champion Jamie Chadwick will jump back into Formula E machinery having sampled the GEN3, and following Rookie Test outings with NIO, and with Jaguar in Marrakesh, 2020.

“I’m very excited to be back working with Jaguar TCS Racing – a team that has seen so much success recently – and to be back in the world of electric racing! Formula E is such an exciting, future-facing championship and I’m really looking forward to testing out the Jaguar I-TYPE 7," said the 26-year-old Brit. "It will be a great opportunity to grow my relationship with the team, meet many other talented drivers and get to experience the mind-blowing technology in these cars.”

Over her 14-year racing career, Chadwick has built up an impressive on-track record. She made her single seater racing debut in 2017 competing in the BRDC British Formula 3 Championship and, in 2019, entered the inaugural season of W Series.

She went on to become an undefeated triple W Series champion and finished the 2022 season with a total of 11 victories. In August 2022 Chadwick was announced as a test driver for Andretti Autosport in Indy NXT and was signed as a driver for the 2023 and 2024 seasons. This year, she became the first woman to win an Indy NXT race in 14 years and finished the season in 7th place. Jaguar TCS Racing have also confirmed that Chadwick will take part in the Formula E Rookie Test at the 2025 Berlin E-Prix.

Sportscar racerd Lilou Wadoux, who began her racing career in karting age 14, joins Chadwick for the Women's Test. Wadoux graduated to competitive circuit racing two years later, starting with one-make saloon car championships. In November 2021, Wadoux entered into endurance racing with the all-female LMP2 Richard Mille Racing Team and, in 2023, was signed as Ferrari’s first female factory driver.

There, she became the first woman winner in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) in any class, after winning the 2023 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. In 2024 Wadoux entered the Japanese Super GT series and has raced in the endurance rounds of the IMSA SportsCar Championship.

“This will be my first time in a Formula E car and I can’t wait for the experience," said the 23-year-old Frenchwoman. "This test is an amazing opportunity for me to get involved in the sport, one that is so well known for inspiring the next generation, and to get women more involved in motorsports. I’m so grateful for the opportunity and look forward to getting behind the wheel of the Jaguar I-TYPE 7.”

Chadwick and Wadoux will be joined by a grid of leading talent at the Women's Test, driving the new-for-Season 11 GEN3 Evo-spec Formula E cars in the test on the afternoon of Thursday 7 November, where the Jaguar I-TYPE 7 will run in a celebratory test livery.

Team boss Barclay: 'We've no doubt we have two of the best joining us'

“It’s fantastic to be working with Jamie Chadwick again and to welcome Lilou Wadoux into the team," said Team Principal James Barclay. "They’ve both achieved amazing results in their careers to date and myself and the team look forward to what will be a very exciting test for Formula E. I have no doubt that we have two of the best drivers joining us.

“The test provides an important opportunity to showcase this highly talented group of women drivers in the pinnacle of electric racing.

"We’re looking forward to building on our relationship with Jamie after witnessing her amazing success in W Series and recently in Indy NXT. Lilou has gone from strength-to-strength with some impressive results in WEC, IMSA and other series, so I’m really excited to work with her for the first time and see her excel in Formula E with all of us here at Jaguar TCS Racing.”
