Italian F.4 Championship powered by Abarth at Imola, race 3: Extraordinary Rosso

At the Imola racing track in round 2 for the Italian Formul 4 Championship Andrea Rosso is spectacular in attacking the pair of Red Bull Junior Team drivers, Edgar and Crawford, conquering the first position. Behind him an exceptional Pizzi and Edgar who obtain the podium.

In pole position the American Jack Crawford starts well but is immediately attacked by Jonny Edgar who passes, followed by an astute Andrea Rosso (Cram Motorsport), who snatches the second position and after a few laps manages to overtake the English and conquer the first position. Two safety cars force the restart where Rosso finds himself attacked by Edgar and Crawford, but with amazing braking at the end of the straight, when he was already refined by his opponents, the Italian holds the first position, showing speed, aggressivity and maturity for an extraordinary victory.

Behind him Francesco Pizzi (Van Amersfoort Racing) climbs up from back positions due to unhappy qualifying, and in second position at times he seems to be able to attack Rosso, who however is unbeatable today.

The final podium therefore sees Rosso in front of Pizzi and Edgar, while the podium of the Rookie is totally Italian with Rosso, Pizzi is Minì. Championship leader Filip Ugran is out of the race. The victory allows Pizzi to take the lead in the championship, with 85 points, ahead of Minì (83). Ugran follows at seven points, Rosso climbs to fourth with seventy, while Edgar is fifth.

The next race will take place on the weekend of 13 September once again on a F1 circuit, on this occasion the Red Bull Ring
