Iron Lynx and Iron Dames announce driver line-up: all-female team and Giancarlo Fisichella

Today, Italian racing team, Iron Lynx has announced an exciting driver line-up that is set to tackle multiple GT championships, including the FIA World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC), European Le Mans Series (ELMS), Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup (GTWC), Ferrari Challenge (FC), including the 24 Hours of Le Mans and 24 Hours of Spa in 2022.  

In a new addition to the Iron Lynx family, former Grand Prix and 24 Hours of Le Mans winner, Giancarlo Fisichella will be joining the FIA World Endurance Championship competing alongside Claudio Schiavoni and Matteo Cressoni in the LMGTE Am category. The Italian racer is looking to bring his wealth of experience to the Iron Lynx team. 

In the team’s ELMS campaign, Ferrari Competizioni GT driver, Davide Rigon will make a welcome return where he will join Claudio Schiavoni and Matteo Cressoni in a full season entry who will compete in the LMGTE category.  

The all-female Iron Dames project will now race in FIA WEC and GTWC under its own licence in 2022 and will be continuing with its 24 Hours of Le Mans line-up of last year, with Sarah Bovy, Michelle Gatting and Rahel Frey getting full seasons in FIA WEC LMGTE Am category, ELMS LMGTE category, GTWC Europe Gold Cup as well as the all-important 24 Hours of Le Mans and 24 Hours of Spa. 

In Ferrari Challenge, the team will be fielding four full season entries consisting of Doriane Pin in Trofeo Pirelli Pro, with Arno Dahlmeyer and Marco Pulcini – a new member of the team – competing in the Am category. Claudio Schiavoni will also be racing in the Coppa Shell category in tandem with his FIA WEC and ELMS commitments. 

Iron Lynx will again be taking part in GTWC with two Pro line-ups, with the drivers being announced at the end of February.  

In addition to GT racing, the team is still committed to supporting the next generation of single seater racing talent and will announce its Italian and ADAC Formula 4 driver announcements in due course.
