After a gap of 6 years, Germany has once again been chosen to host the FIA Karting World Championship, which will take place at the Pro Kart Raceland Wackersdorf from September 7th to 10th. However, karting enthusiasts don't have to wait until then to witness a top-tier international event.

The inaugural Road to Wackersdorf will be held this weekend, and it is considered the ultimate test for the World Championship. Organized by the German Kart Championship team, this event follows the same schedule and technical regulations as the World Championship in September. The best drivers and teams from around the globe compete on the challenging 1,197-meter track.

A total of 150 participants, including numerous reigning champions, will be taking part in the Road to Wackersdorf. The event features three classes: KZ, KZ2, and KZ2 Masters. The KZ2 class boasts the largest field with 86 entries, while the Masters class, consisting of seasoned veterans, has 40 competitors. The top-tier KZ class will witness 24 skilled drivers battling for victory.

The racing action kicks off on Thursday with the free practice sessions, followed by qualifying and the first heats on Friday. Saturday will be action-packed with a series of heats, which will determine the grids for the Super Heat and the highly anticipated finals. Fans can keep track of the races through extensive live timing, and starting from Saturday, they can also enjoy a live stream on www.kart-dm.de.

Pro Kart Raceland is presenting itself at its finest for the forthcoming events. In recent weeks, the paddock has undergone significant extension, accompanied by the addition of a spacious spectator stand and a well-appointed catering tent.

The Road to Wackersdorf sets the stage for an exhilarating weekend filled with intense competition among some of the best kart drivers in the world. It serves as a thrilling preview of what's to come at the shifter kart World Championship in September, promising an unforgettable experience for both participants and fans alike.
