Hamda Al Qubaisi set for 2020 Italian Formula 4 opener at Misano

Hamda Al Qubaisi is set to make her return to the Formula 4 Italian Championship which will finally start this weekend at Misano after being postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The 17-year-old female racer from Abu Dhabi will be back behind the wheel of an Abarth-powered Tatuus car under the Abu Dhabi Racing banner. With the same combination, Al Qubaisi scored outstanding results in the 2020 Formula 4 UAE Championship, capturing seven pole positions and three race wins en-route to a fourth place in the final standings. Having made her debut in auto racing only one year ago, she is looking for more of the same progress.

The technical Adriatic venue, not far from the Riviera Romagnola seaside resort, is welcoming teams and drivers for a highly-anticipated event, with full summer conditions and great weather expected on the 4.2-kilometre layout.

The team prepared well for the season and Hamda had a profitable test session last week at Monza, so the ingredients are all there for a positive outcome.

Hamda Al Qubaisi:

"I can't wait to go back racing and I'm proud to represent Abu Dhabi Racing again. After the positive results of the F4 UAE Championship, we are looking forward to keeping the good momentum and improve even further. The level of the series is extremely high this season, but we did a good job preparing ourselves so we are confident for the weekend ahead."
