Hadrien David converts pole position to victory in the Hungaroring Race 2

Hadrien David (R-ace GP) converted pole position into his second Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine victory in a spectacular second race of the weekend at Hungaroring.

The Frenchman had a good start to lead around the first lap, and from there he was able to build up his advantage until the end of the race.

Gabriele Mini (ART Grand Prix) claimed second place, after the first safety car went on track due to Joshua Durksen‘s car stopped against the barriers. The Italian driver, at the end of the neutralization, overtook Gabriel Bortoleto (R-ace GP) who finished third after being behind the leader for most of the race.

Tim Tramnitz claimed his best result of the season with fourth place for team Trident Motorsport, which also celebrated the German’s victory in the rookie standings. Leonardo Fornaroli was fifth at the wheel of another Trident Motorsport car, ahead of Joshua Dufek (Van Amersfoort Racing). Paul Aron (Prema Racing) finished the race seventh after being involved in a late tussle with Pietro Delli Guanti (RPM), that forced the Italian to stop causing a late safety car intervention.

Sebastian Montoya (Prema Racing) gained a staggering nine places from his starting position up to finish the race eight, while Owen Tangavelou (RPM) and Maceo Capietto (Monolite Racing) completed the top 10.

Tough weekend for championship leader Dino Beganovic (Prema Racing), who stayed out of the points zone this afternoon.

The Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine will be back on track over the weekend of 29-30 July for the seventh round of the season at Spa Francorchamps.
