Bas Kaligis / Tuesday, March 16, 2021 / Categories: International Green light for the BNL Karting Series Kick-Off BNL Karting Series announce that the BNL Karting Series Kick-Off can now officially proceed as planned this coming weekend. The organization met with the Belgian Ministry of Sport on Monday morning, providing evidence to support their case of running the event this weekend at Karting Genk: Home of Champions. After careful consideration from the Ministry of Sport, they have given them the go-ahead with the event, but only four of the six classes can compete, as it is now officially considered as an international elite sporting event. Only Junior Max, Senior Max, DD2 and DD2 Masters fit the current criteria, so Micro and Mini Max are not unfortunately allowed to compete in this instance To all Micro and Mini MAX drivers that have already paid their entry fees, please be assured that refunds to all drivers will be processed as soon as possible after the weekend has concluded. Even though it is not the complete outcome that they would have wanted, we can only respect the ministry’s decision. One of the most stringent criteria for the green light for the Kick-Off is that every person heading to the track MUST HAVE a Negative PCR test result no older than 72 hours before entering.
