Christoph Hold obtained a positive result in the Final of the closer of the KZ European Chamopionship after two retirements in the heats in a torrid weekend at Lonato. Maranello Kart made it to the track in KZ for the Kart Grand Prix Italy, the closing round of the European Championship that took place at the South Garda Karting circuit in Lonato, with the Austrian driver Christoph Hold who run a positive Final. The strongest International karting drivers were present in the second and decisive round of the CIK-FIA European Championship that awarded the KZ and KZ2 titles after the opener held in France at Salbris. Christoph Hold, who had a wild card entry in KZ, posted the 20th time in qualifying being 0.431s shy of the leader, but in the first two heats he scored two DNFs that affected his starting position. In the third heat Hold pulled a 15th place, which allowed him to start the Final from the 23rd spot of the grid. Hold run a very good Final, as he defended himself well in the melee of the initial laps claiming a good P17, which confirmed once again the competitiveness of the Maranello Kart chassis in a race that has been quite tough also due to the torrid weather.
