The 17-year-old Italian made his single-seater debut in 2022 in Formula 4, signing with AS Motorsport after spending the off-season testing for the Slovenian team. He graduated from the Italian Karting Championship’s ROK Senior class, where he had finished eighth in 2021. Maschio’s rookie year in F4 was primarily focused on the FIA’s Italian F4 championship, and he came 43rd in the standings with a best finish of 18th achieved twice. He missed one round, and in October switched to R-ace GP for the season finale. He also contested the Monza finale of Formula X’s Pro Series for first-generation F4 cars, finishing third in race one and dominating race two, and two rounds of the Italian Sport Prototypes series. It will be Maschio his second year in FRECA, after debuting with Monolite in 2023. Giovanni Maschio: “I’m really excited to join RPM for next season. After all the post-season tests we are ready to fight together. I would like to thank the team for giving me this opportunity, and my family to support me in every moment of my career.” Keith Donegan – team owner: “We are really happy to have Giovanni with us for next season. He has shown good potential and progression over the winter testing so I am excited to see what we can do throughout the season. He is very motivated for the challenge so he is a great fit with everyone at RPM.” Previous Article 2023 Champion Voisin graduates to FIA F3 with Rodin Carlin Next Article Personal Transponder for WSK races Print 255 Rate this article: No rating Tags: Italian F4 ChampionshipFormula Regional European Championship by AlpineKeith DoneganGiovanni MaschioTeam RPMItalian Karting Championship ROK SeniorFormula X’s Pro SeriesItalian Sport Prototypes series Comments Please login or register to post comments.
