G4 Racing welcomes Belén García back for part-time 2022 FRECA program

G4 Racing and Belén García will continue their collaboration for the 2022 Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine season. The Spanish driver, a former Formula 4 race winner, entered four rounds with the Barcelona-based Swiss team last season while she contested the W Series, which is also run with the same Formula Regional chassis.

Throughout the year, García made huge steps forward, which allowed her to score points in five of the eight rounds of the W Series, while only barely missing out on the podium. She managed to finish her rookie year in 10th place.

García will drive in all six days of preseason Collective Testing, which will take place in Barcelona, Le Castellet, and Monza. The Italian venue will be home to the season opener. Garcia will drive the fourth G4 Racing car alongside full-time drivers Axel Gnos, Matias Zagazeta, and Owen Tangavelou. More appearances for García will be announced in due course.

Adrián Muñoz (Sporting and Technical Manager): “I am delighted to welcome back Belén in G4 Racing for a part-time program. We will continue to support her during the whole season. The experience she made in 2021 will help her to perform well this year and to improve again as a driver”.

Belén García (Driver): “I’m excited to be back in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine with G4 Racing! Last year we had an amazing experience and the goal for this season is to keep learning and enjoying as much as I did in 2021”.
