From girls on track to WEC 19-Year old iron Dame Doriane Pin to join PREMA for LMP2 FIA WEC

Today, it has been announced that 19-year-old female racer, Doriane Pin, will join PREMA’s FIA World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC) driver line-up for 2023 as an Iron Dame.

The French driver joined the Iron Dames project in 2021 after finishing as a finalist in the FIA Girls on Track – Rising Stars competition, and went from strength-to-strength in her first full season last year, claiming the Ferrari Challenge Europe champion title with multiple races left to go.

Doriane will compete in the #63 LMP2 car alongside two other drivers who will be announced in the near future.

In addition to joining PREMA’s FIA WEC programme this season, Doriane will race in the Iron Lynx and Iron Dames GT3 racing programme in IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup, which kicks off at the end of January at the prestigious Rolex 24 At Daytona, as well as further GT campaigns.

PREMA and Iron Lynx joined forces in 2021 under the control of Swiss-based company DC Racing Solutions Ltd, with one of its aims to provide a platform to develop young racing talent, and today’s announcement is clear evidence of the type of opportunities this partnership provides to guide young drivers to the very highest level in motorsport.

Commenting on the announcement, Iron Dames Project Founder, Deborah Mayer, said: “I am extremely happy for Doriane, and to see an Iron Dame now racing in LMP2 with PREMA in FIA World Endurance Championship. Doriane is a young, talented and promising driver who had a very positive season last year which is testament to her hard work and determination. I wish her and the rest of the team the best of luck this season.”

Doriane Pin said: “I am very happy and excited to join PREMA for the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2023 as an Iron Dame. I have been working hard for this and I am very delighted for such opportunity and I can’t thank the team enough for their ongoing support. I am looking forward to starting the season in Sebring and to reaching our common goals together with the team.”
