Bart Luijkx / Saturday, June 18, 2022 / Categories: News, Singleseater FRECA: Paul Aron scores the first pole position of the weekend at Zandvoort Prema Racing’s Paul Aron topped the first qualifying session (1m30.970s) for the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine round at Zandvoort, beating the reigning champion Grégoire Saucy last year’s record by three thousandths of seconds. Estonian driver was the only one to go under 1m31, which allowed him to take the front row ahead of Frenchman Hadrien David (R-ace GP), who was the fastest in Group A. Italian Gabriele Minì (ART Grand Prix) will start the first race of the weekend in third, ahead of local driver Kas Haverkort (Van Amersfoort Racing), who contended for the pole with David at the end of the first session. Sebastian Montoya (Prema Racing) flies among the rookies with fifth overall position, ahead his teammate Dino Beganovic making up row three. Mari Boya (ART Grand Prix) qualified in seventh, lining up ahead of Joshua Dufek (Van Amersfoort Racing). The top ten is completed by Frenchmen Victor Bernier (FA Racing) and Paraguayan Joshua Durksen (Arden Motorsport).
