FRECA: Brando Badoer confirms his top form in friday's Collective Test at Mugello

It was a perfect day for Brando Badoer as he claimed the top spot in the time sheets of both Collective Tests at Mugello, the venue for the fifth of the ten double-header rounds of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine. The Italian driver from Van Amersfoort Racing, currently third in the championship standings with 82 points, set the fastest time of the day at 1’42”672 this morning. In the afternoon, Badoer led the field again, with Nikita Bedrin (MP Motorsport) finishing just over three-tenths behind the Italian. Behind them, the two rookies from Van Amersfoort Racing, Pedro Clerot and Ivan Domingues, showed great performance on the Tuscan corners, ahead of Sainteloc Racing‘s Théophile Naël and Enzo Peugeot, who finished fifth and sixth respectively as the session ended.

Other notable drivers included Williams Academy’s Alessandro Giusti (ART Grand Prix) and Michael Belov (Trident Motorsport). Completing the top 10 were Noah Strømsted (RPM) and Matteo De Palo (Sainteloc Racing).

The international series will be back on track tomorrow morning at 8:30 AM for the first qualifying session of the weekend, which will be broadcast live on the championship’s official YouTube channel.
