Formula Regional EU by Alpine: Zandvoort, Race 2: Saucy closes the perfect weekend
Grégoire Saucy (ART Grand Prix) wins race 2 at the F1 Circuit Zandvoort and closes the perfect weekend with two pole positions and two wins. Behind him, Franco Colapinto (MP Motorsport) confirms his and the team’s progression, also showing a great pace during the race, actually getting closer to the Swiss driver in the last laps. Gabriele Minì (ART Grand Prix) is third, as he loses the second position at the start, getting a little stuck behind Saucy and giving Colapinto the chance to overtake.
Fourth is a fantastic William Alatalo (Arden Motorsport), gaining 3 positions from the start, while Francesco Pizzi (Van Amersfoort Racing), overtaken in the first laps by Alatalo, is then great in protecting his position to the end of the race from the attacks of Kas Haverkort (MP Motorsport) and Paul Aron (Prema Powerteam), respectively sixth and seventh. Eighth is Zane Maloney (R-ace GP), recovering from 11th, but surely not totally satisfied with his performance here in Zandvoort after the promising collective tests. Ninth is Mari Boya (Van Amersfoort Racing) and tenth Oliver Goethe (MP Motorsport), the latter unfortunately losing some positions from sixth at the start.

A mention must be made to Dino Beganovic and David Vidales, the two Prema Powerteam drivers not reaching the points, but recovering respectively 11 and 9 positions from the start, ending in 19th and 16th position.
