Formula Regional EU by Alpine: Paul Aron closes the perfect weekend

Paul Aron (Prema Powerteam) wins Race 2 on the Mugello Circuit and closes the perfect weekend with two pole positions and two wins. Behind him, his teammate, Dino Beganovic, also first of the Rookies, making an amazing race and finally conquering his first podium after a few occasions ruined by accidents, often not his fault, as in Race 1 here in Mugello.

The third is the title winner Grègoire Saucy (ART Grand Prix), who has battled all the race with a very fast Michael Belov (G4 Racing), who has attacked the Swiss so many times, also going wide off track on a couple of occasions and finally overtaking, but with a red flag at the end of the race cancelling the last lap, actually not concretizing his action, and ending up fourth.

Fifth is Franco Colapinto (MP Motorsport), sixth is Hadrien David (R-ace GP), seventh Kas Havenkort (MP Motorsport) in good shape here in Mugello, eighth Gabriel Bortoleto (FA Racing), ninth a battling Pietro Delli Guanti (Monolite Racing), not as fast in the race as in qualifying, and tenth Gianluca Petecof (KIC Motorsport).

“I am finally where I should be and where I deserve to be. The work with the team has been great and I have also worked on myself to be in no other position than the one I should be, first. I like the track in Monza, but it is not a circuit where I have had particularly good results in the past. Still, I actually believe there is no reason why we should not do as well as here in Mugello”, comments Aron after the podium.

“I am really happy, finally obtaining a podium with no accident stopping me as in Race 1 here in Mugello, when I had no fault at all. Huge satisfaction, thanks to the great team and looking forward to Monza to confirm the performance I have had here in Mugello”, has commented a very pleased and smiling Beganovic.

“I have been very pleased with P2 in qualifying this morning, while we have not really had the pace in the race, so we need to work and understand more. Still, the third position is quite good. In Monza, I am not going to be relaxed as one could think after the title win. A race is always a race and I need to do my best also for the Teams title”, has commented Saucy at the end of the race.
