Ferrari F1-star Charles Leclerc guest of the Leclerc by Lennox Racing Team + PHOTOS
The resumption of racing is approaching also for Leclerc by Lennox Racing Team, which has been engaged in test days at the South Garda Karting in Lonato for the last few weeks.
The sessions scheduled for Wednesday, June 10, and Thursday, June 11, in particular, were ones for the books, as we had the pleasure of welcoming Charles Leclerc, the Scuderia Ferrari driver and creator, in collaboration with Birel ART, of the CL Karting chassis line that our team led by Jordon Lennox-Lamb fields in all the most prestigious international events.
It was a unique opportunity for all team members and for our official drivers, who had the chance to share the track with the Monegasque champion, as well as the Ferrari Development Driver Antonio Fuoco and the official Birel ART drivers. Attending the event was also the President of Birel ART Ronni Sala.
Early in the morning of Wednesday, the staff was already working on the CL 30-S11 SH powered by TM Racing which, for the occasion, brought to the track a special "Charles Leclerc" signed edition of its KZ-R1 engine, the same with which Birel ART won the 2019 KZ World Championship.
Charles found the same kart used by official drivers waiting for him under our tent, and, after quickly checking the driving position, he immediately took to the track for a first shake down run.
The sun that came out around lunchtime gave everyone a wonderful day and Charles, arrived on the track together some friends, was able to take full advantage of the support and the hospitality offered by the team until the last session. Staying true to his passion for karting, Charles tested himself against the official drivers several times and also checked his weight and that of the kart on the scale.
In the evening, Charles Leclerc also posed for some photos with all the drivers and members of the Leclerc By Lennox Racing Team, with which he spent also another day on the track on Thursday and who will welcome him anytime he wants to dust off his karting skills.
