Evan Giltaire joins ART Grand Prix for this new FRECA Season

ART Grand Prix is proud to announce that Evan Giltaire will be making his debut with the team in the upcoming 2024 Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine (FRECA).

The 17-year-old French driver began his karting career at the age of eight, winning his first national title in the 2018 Cadet French Cup. After qualifying for the Rotax World Final in Brazil, the young Frenchman impressed by leading the majority of the race before he was forced to retire due to engine failure.

When competing in the OK Junior category, Evan consistently progressed, achieving several top-10 finishes at an international level. In 2021, he challenged in the OK category against experienced rivals, to secure a 6th place finish overall. The following year, he went on to clinch the Senior French Championship, was ranked 5th in Europe, and won the IAME World Title in the X30 category. Evan concluded the 2022 season with a victory at the SKUSA SuperNationals in Las Vegas.

By the end of 2022, Evan made a remarkable transition to single-seater racing, securing 2nd place at the Richard Mille Young Drivers Academy. From there he went on to become the French Formula 4 champion in 2023, his debut season. Towards the end of the year, he made his first appearances in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine (FRECA) with ART Grand Prix, participating in the final two rounds of the season.

Evan Giltaire:

“I am thrilled to be joining ART Grand Prix, which is undoubtedly the best team in the junior formulas and one in which I feel very close. The warm welcome and smooth integration I experienced during my first two races and the winter tests have allowed me to develop some positive feelings. FRECA is highly competitive, making it tricky to set any specific targets, but after a successful 2023, I hope I’ll be able to fight for race wins and continually improve progress from start to finish. A big thank you to all my partners who are supporting me in this new journey, and to ART Grand Prix.”

Sébastien Philippe:

“In both karting and his single-seater debut, Evan has demonstrated both the sporting and personal qualities necessary to learn and progress swiftly and effectively. His debut in FRECA with ART Grand Prix confirmed that our paths have excellent reasons to converge in 2024, when the team and Evan will be aiming on competing at the front of the field.”
