Esteban Masson joins Art Grand Prix for the remainder of the FRECA season

ART Grand Prix is pleased to announce Esteban Masson to the team, the 17 years old scheduled to climb behind the wheel of one of their single-seaters in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine (FRECA) from July 27th. This will see Masson take part in the 7th round of the season, at the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit and he will continue with the team until the end of the 2022 season as a replacement for Mari Boya.

Junior French karting champion in 2019, Esteban became Formula 4 France champion in his first year of motorsport. He was discovered by the French Motor Sport Federation and made his debut in FRECA this year, a championship where he has steadily progressed from the start of the season to reach the top 10 in the last round at the Hungaroring.

Esteban Masson:
“I am very happy with this new challenge and I am thrilled to be joining a team like ART Grand Prix, whose track record and know-how are famous. I am personally very happy that my work has not gone unnoticed, but I am aware that I must take another step and I am already doing everything I can to get there. I am looking forward to discovering the team during a race weekend, learning from them and returning the favour with the best possible results both personally and collectively.”

Sébastien Philippe:
“ART Grand Prix has a culture of training and supporting young drivers, and with Esteban, we are at the heart of this corporate approach. He only has one year of motorsport to his credit, but he has already secured a title. He made a very interesting debut in FRECA by favouring learning over raw results and his intelligent and efficient approach won over the team. ART Grand Prix will make every effort possible to ensure that Esteban can exploit his full potential as well as the teams so that this collaboration is fruitful from the very first race.”
