Energy Corse on the most important international podiums

Throughout this intense 2021 season, the Energy Corse team has been particularly competitive as recent prestigious international events can attest: a masterful victory in the Rok Cup Superfinal in Mini with the Canadian Jensen Burnett and a podium in OK-Junior during the Champions of the Future series with Tomass Stolcermanis. Stolcermanis also had the honour starting on the front row of the World Championship in his Energy Corse-TM Racing package. A magnificent top five finish rewarded the young Latvian and the know-how of the Italian team. More than ever, Energy Corse offers an ideal and effective sporting framework for a young and ambitious driver.

World triumph in Lonato

Every year, the best drivers in the Rok Challenge from all over the world come to compete in an "International Superfinal". From 13th to 16th October at South Garda Karting in Lonato, Italy, this event brought together several categories, the most difficult being the Mini Rok with its 103 registered drivers. The Final was very competitive and was decided by small technical details that the Energy Corse team mastered to perfection with its driver Jensen Burnett. The Canadian was majestic and was crowned with panache. The British driver Alfie Slater confirmed the efficiency of the Italian team's equipment by coming back from 15th to 5th place with the fastest lap in the race. Just behind him, the Russian Matvey Dergunov (+11 places) placed a third chassis in the top six with the Revolution Motorsport team! Congratulations to Lorenzo Campos and Deonarine Mayer who took a double Energy Corse win in the Vortex Trophy in Mini Rok.

In Junior Rok, Tomass Stolcermanis was fighting for the podium in the Final before retiring. Lithuanian Adreja Vibriantyte took a fine 5th place in the Super Rok, while Canadian Josh Conquer jumped 10 places to complete the top 10 in Shifter Rok.

Stolcermanis on the podium in Campillos

The Champions of the Future series concluded in Campillos on 24th October. It was a great opportunity for the drivers and teams to prepare for the World Championship a week later. In OK-Junior, Tomass Stolcermanis was particularly competitive in the Energy Corse team. 2nd in Timed Practice, 3rd after the heats and in the Prefinal, he climbed to the third step of the podium after a great attacking race.

Energy Corse leader during the World Championship

Tomass Stolcermanis continued his success in Spain, again being one of the best in the world in OK-Junior. The winner of two heats with three fastest laps in the race, he was on the front row for the Final, which in the end ran on rain tyres. In these difficult conditions, Tomass took a convincing 5th place in his first FIA Karting World Championship.

Less well qualified, the Japanese driver Schu Dozono nevertheless created a surprise by making spectacular comebacks in each of his heats, showing great speed in the dry, going from 69th place in Timed Qualifying to 25th on the starting grid of the Final. He even got into the top 10 in the rain in the Final... before retiring on the last lap! Congratulations also to the OK drivers from the Energy Corse team who fought with determination: the Finnish driver Rasmus Joutsimies, as well as the Lithuanians Adreja Vibriantyte and Jokubas Bagdonavicius.

The final word goes to Mick Panigada, team manager of the Energy Corse team: "We have had some intense emotions in the last few weeks. It was a great moment to see Jensen Burnett cross the finish line of the Rok Cup Superfinal as a winner and Tomass Stolcermanis leading the first five laps of the World Championship Final. In the dry, I think he had every chance of winning. His fastest laps in the heats prove it. At the end of the season and in 2022, Energy Corse will continue to support drivers who want to reach the top in this way. Our team remains one of the best at allowing the youngest drivers to blossom in the best conditions. I congratulate our drivers, the entire technical staff and our engine builders."
