Energy Corse - An extremely positive result in the European Championship

Since January and the first international event of this intense 2022 season, Energy Corse has established itself as one of the most successful teams at the highest level of karting. Numerous successes and podiums have rewarded the efforts of the drivers and technical staff at all levels, especially in the FIA Karting European Championship in the OK and OK-Junior categories.

"I would like to congratulate all those who have been involved in the success of our team since the start of this season," said Mick Panigada, Energy Corse team manager. "First of all, congratulations to our young drivers, some of whom have made remarkable progress since joining our team. Luigina Guerrini and Simone Sorio have been able to guide our team on a technical and strategic level, with a constant 100% involvement. The Energy Corse chassis, recently homologated by CIK-FIA, are still a reference on the international scene, as are the TM Racing engines from GFR. The performance of our main engine builder's engines has been a great help."

Stolcermanis, a regular contender for victory in OK

As he did in OK-Junior in 2021, Tomass Stolcermanis has made OK his field of conquest in 2022. The young Latvian won his first race in the category at the Champions of the Future Winter Series. He also finished the WSK Super Master Series with two consecutive top 10 finishes in March. In Portimao, Stolcermanis proved to be very fast, first finishing 3rd in the Champions of the Future Euro Series. Two weeks later at the European Championship he was unfortunately denied victory due to a penalty (fairing position).

He took his revenge by mounting the third step of the podium in Kristianstad in Sweden. Fairly unlucky in Franciacorta, he nevertheless increased his points total and took 7th position in the final European Championship ranking. Two weeks before, he had won in the Champions of the Future Euro Series on this Italian circuit, which he finished in 3rd position.

His team-mate Akshay Bohra continued his progression in OK, notably joining the top 12 in the Champions of the Future Euro Series in Sweden.

OK-Junior: Some very talented youngsters at Energy Corse

Fastest laps in the race, purple sectors and repeated top five finishes in the heats as well as in the Finals were good habits developed by the Energy Corse drivers during the international meetings. Andres Cardenas started the season with a victory in the WSK Champions Cup, before taking the second step of the podium in the Champions of the Future Winter Series. The Peruvian driver has often been at the forefront of his European campaign: 4th in Portimao in COTF and points in the highly competitive European Championship.

Finishing in the points three times out of four in the European Championship, with a remarkable 5th place in Zuera in Spain, Frenchman Jules Caranta has brilliantly earned his place in the final top 10 in FIA Karting. His last race in Franciacorta ended with a remarkable recovery of more than 20 places.

Known for training young drivers to exploit their potential to the full, the Energy Corse team has supported Martin Molnar in his progression. In addition to his performances in the European Championship, the Hungarian driver had a string of good results in the Champions of the Future Euro Series: 7th in Zuera and an excellent 3rd in Franciacorta.

The Canadian Jensen Burnett also showed himself capable of magnificent performances, while the whole team is thinking of Alexander Dahlstrom, injured in Zuera.

The season is far from being over for the Energy Corse team, which still intends to put its drivers in the best situations to get good results in the WSK series and of course in the highly anticipated World Championship in Sarno, Italy in September for the OK and OK-Junior categories.
