Dino Beganovic moves up to Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine with PREMA for 2021

PREMA Powerteam is proud to announce that Swedish racer Dino Beganovic will step up to the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine in 2021. The 16-year-old driver joined the team for his rookie campaign in the 2020 Italian Formula 4 Championship, showing speed straight away. Over the season, he impressed for the progress he made, scoring two pole positions and claiming his maiden win at Imola.

Coming from a successful career in karting, Beganovic joined the Ferrari Driver Academy program in early 2020 and ended his first competitive attempt at open-wheel racing in third place overall, with a total of five podiums and four fastest laps. For 2021, he will graduate to Formula Regional, climbing a further step in the world racing ladder towards the heights of professional motorsports. As a preparation for the upcoming season, Beganovic will also enter the two opening rounds of the F3 Asian Championship with Abu Dhabi Racing by PREMA.

Angelo Rosin - Team Principal

"It's great for us to continue working with Dino for 2021. He showed he is a talented driver who kept improving throughout the season, ending the year as one of the most interesting prospects of Formula 4. Obviously, the step to Formula Regional will be a challenging one, as for every rookie, and we will work as much as we can to be competitive. We are confident that the performance will be there from the outset and we expect an exciting season."

“It feels amazing to continue my partnership with Prema and the Ferrari Driver Academy stepping up to Formula Regional by Alpine in 2021 and also getting the opportunity to race in the Asian F3 Championship in selected rounds. We work very well together and I really enjoy the collaboration as it feels like being part of a second family. After a very positive year in Formula 4 together, I can’t wait to continue our great work this year.”
