Del Pino continues with MP Motorsport for twin Eurocup-3 and FRMEC campaigns

Spanish racer Bruno Del Pino Ventos will remain with MP Motorsport for a fresh assault on the Eurocup-3 series. By way of preparation, the 17-year-old will also take in a campaign in the Formula Regional Middle East Championship.

It will be Del Pino’s third year in single-seaters as he aims to step up a gear after his debut season in Eurocup-3 took him up to seventh place in the final standings. At the start of 2023, the youngster progressed to the fledgling Eurocup-3 series after a single season in Spanish Formula 4. Del Pino also formed part of Spain’s talented selection for the 2022 FIA Motorsport Games, in which he won a bronze medal.

In preparation for his regular season in the 16-round Eurocup-3 series, Del Pino will compete in the Formula Regional Middle East Championship due to run on the Emirati circuits of Yas Marina and Dubai during consecutive weekends in January and February. The Spaniard will have Nikhil Bohra as one of his teammates in FRMEC.

“I am delighted to be staying with MP Motorsport for another attempt at Eurocup-3 glory”, said Del Pino. “Last year, the team and I worked very well together, and building on the experience gained in my first season, I will definitely aim to be among the frontrunners this year. Contesting the burgeoning FRMEC series will also help me in my preparation for my main campaign in Eurocup-3. I’m really looking forward to competing in both series!”

“It’s good to have Bruno back in our Eurocup-3 line-up for this year”, said MP Motorsport’s team principal, Sander Dorsman. “He became part of the MP Motorsport family last year, and we’re pleased to have his vote of confidence once again going into the new season. Running a combined programme of FRMEC and Eurocup-3 will help him clock up the miles that young drivers need under their belt in order to flourish.”

Ahead of his promotion to single-seaters, Del Pino made his mark in the Spanish karting championship before progressing to international OK Junior levels in 2019 and 2020, taking part in both the CIK/FIA and WSK series, finishing ninth overall in the European Championship, while in the winter periods, he took part in the IAME Winter Cup for X30 Junior karts. In 2021, Del Pino moved up to OK level to score points in the FIA European Karting Championship and WSK’s Super Masters Series and Euro Series, as well as taking ninth in the WSK Open Cup. In 2022, he was a regular points scorer in Spanish F4 while he was also invited for a test week of the Ferrari Driver Academy.
