Dan Hickey returns to Fortec Motorsports for full GB4 campaign

Fortec Motorsports has confirmed that Dan Hickey will return to the team for a full GB4 Championship campaign this year.

The 21-year-old took part in the final rounds of the 2023 season at Donington Park, making his single-seater debut after completing an extensive testing programme as part of the team’s continued commitment to developing talented young drivers.

The Leicestershire-based racer scored a well-earned 10th place finish at the final round in October, putting all his practice into place as he competed on track with other drivers for the first time.

Continuing the hard work this winter, Dan has been testing in the United Kingdom and Europe with the team, building up laps and knowledge ready to hit the ground running when the 2024 campaign opens at Oulton Park.

Dan Hickey said: “I am thrilled to be returning to the GB4 Championship with Fortec Motorsports for a full campaign this season. Having gained valuable experience during my debut at the final round last year, I am eagerly anticipating the challenges that lie ahead in the upcoming season.

“Remaining with a great team like Fortec, who have significantly contributed to my growth as a driver since I joined, means that I am confident that we can achieve great results on track together.”

Fortec Motorsports Team Manager Oliver Dutton said: “We’re really happy to welcome Dan back for a full season in the GB4 Championship after his race debut with us at Donington Park last year. He did well that weekend, battling back from adversity to score a 10th place finish.

“Dan has been working hard throughout the winter, in testing and off track, so we’re looking forward to getting the year started at Oulton Park and seeing what we can achieve together.”
