CRG Racing Team in Spain for the 1st Champions of the Future round

The engines are turned on today for the first free practice sessions on the Campillos circuit where the 1st round of the Champions of the Future series for the OK and OK Junior categories is scheduled for Saturday. This Series will take place over 5 rounds and will follow the same calendar as the FIA European Championship and will end on the eve of the FIA World Championship on the Kristianstad track, Sweden. For this reason, it represents a great test in preparation for the FIA events, also because, unlike other international meetings, it is run with the same tyres.
 

The CRG Racing team will be present in both categories with 9 drivers in total. In the top OK class, CRG will line up Davide Bottaro, Aloïs Girardet, Sebastian Minns, Clovis Nougueyrede and Maria Neto, all with IAME engines by BM Motors. Also in OK, Viktor Gustavsson will be racing, but with TM engines, with which he will carry out a specific work plan. Daniel Miron and Matteis Stigsen will make their debut in OK Junior in an international meeting, alongside Mats Van Rooijen, all with IAME engines.
 

The event program will include qualifying practice and the first heats on Thursday, then qualifying heats on Friday and the final day with the Super Heats and Finals will be on Saturday. The weather is expected to be good for the entire weekend and it will be very important for the drivers to work in view of Round 1 of the Euro FIA scheduled for the following week.
 

International karting has not raced on the Campillos track for some years and for many drivers, the layout of the Spanish track will be all to discover. As for CRG, the team had already carried out a few days of testing during the winter and the feeling for all the drivers seemed positive.
