CRG heads to Sarno to prepare the Euro OK and OKJ

The CRG Racing Team is back on the track for the WSK Euro Series at the Sarno circuit from the 23rd to the 27th of June after the positive weekend at Wackersdorf, in Germany. This event is particularly interesting for the OK and OK Junior classes that will compete here on the same track in the 3rd Round of the European Championship in 15 days. The CRG team will face the race with 2 OK Junior drivers (Simone Bianco and Gerasim Skulanov) and Ksenia Phoenix in OK. For the Russian Skulanov this will be the 2nd race ever in the Junior class, just before his debut in the FIA races here in Sarno.

WSK races are also the most important container for 60 Mini competitions and CRG will line-up 3 drivers in this class: the Slovenian Aleksandar Bogunovic, the Canadian Ilie Crisan and the American Luis Santiago Duran Forero.

The event program will respect the usual WSK format with 2 days of free practice (Wednesday and Thursday) and the race weekend, which will start on Friday with qualifying. The Finals are scheduled for Sunday afternoon and will be broadcast in live streaming. Live timing will be available from Friday morning on.

Drivers’ expectations:

Gerasim Skulanov (OKJ): “I've already raced on this track with the Mini and I like it a lot, but the references with the Junior change completely and I will nearly have to start from scratch. I know that for me the most important goal of these first races is to gain experience and prepare for the European Championship event, but I would also like to be competitive and have a good race".

Simone Bianco (OKJ): “Because of the school exams I have been away from the tracks for a few weeks and I really can’t wait to race. For this weekend we have got some technical developments for the European Championship, so we have a fairly intense work scheduled. I hope to have a good race, but above all I want to get ready in the best way possible for the Continental Championship race".

Ilie Crisan (Mini): “I am gaining a lot of experience here in Europe in my first races with the Mini in view of next year, when I will have a continuous commitment in these competitions. So far I have only raced in Canada and the USA with a different level of opponents and above all on tracks with much less grip. Working with CRG technicians is a great honor and I am learning a lot. I lack a bit of experience both in the set up and in the management of the race to fight with the best, but every time I make some progress and I am happy with this aspect".
