Bas Kaligis / Wednesday, December 21, 2022 / Categories: News CM Racing Team suspends its involvement in World Supersport and starts new adventure in karting The CM Racing Team announces that it will not take part in the 2023 World Supersport Championship. A choice resulting from accurate and prolonged evaluations, which does not preclude a return to the category for the 2024 season. Since its debut season in the category - 2021 - the Roman team has been able to surprise and enchant, achieving a total of five podiums and one pole position. In 2022 the switch to Ducati did not produce the hoped-for effects, but it did not undermine the team's desire to compete and its ambitions. Looking ahead to the 2023 season, CM Racing Team will support Luca Bernardi in the CIV Superbike, and at the same time open a new chapter in four-wheel motorsport. The Roman formation will in fact take part, together with its new driver Federico Diana, in some rounds of the FIA World Kart Championship, WSK, DKM and Coppa Italia. Alessio Cavaliere (Team Principal): "This choice does not represent a farewell to the World Supersport, but rather a goodbye. They have been two intense and exciting seasons, which have certainly contributed to increase my passion for this world. While waiting to see what the future holds, I'm very happy to support Luca and embark on a new adventure in the world of karts, which represents for me another great passion".
