Bogdan Cosma Cristofor wins Franciacorta duel in style

A tireless competitor and leader in the WSK series, Bogdan Cosma Cristofor took another victory in the OK-N Junior category, which is further proof of his determination and unceasing desire to win. In 2024, the talented young Romanian is now on a run of four podiums in four races, including two victories. Having arrived in Franciacorta in the lead of the WSK Super Master Series, the driver from the Forza Racing team took advantage of the opportunity to extend his lead, before tackling the finale at Sarno at the beginning of March.

With 389 drivers taking part, including 40 in the OK-N Junior class, the WSK Super Master Series once again demonstrated its appeal to karting's best hopefuls and their teams. In this third round, the level of competition was incredibly high and represented an additional motivation for Bogdan Cosma Cristofor, who is still only 12 years old. There were many potential winners, but the Romanian driver made the difference at a key moment in the meeting.

A 97-point lead!

After the rain that had fallen the previous week in Cremona, where Bogdan Cosma Cristofor had managed to climb onto the third step of the podium in difficult conditions, the weather turned out to be much more clement. The track remained dry at Franciacorta and temperatures sometimes exceeded 15° during the day. 6th in Friday's Qualifying session, Bogdan wasn't completely satisfied with his position and set about fine-tuning the kart with the Forza Racing team's technical staff. He won the first Qualifying Heat after a hard-fought battle, before finishing 5th in Heat 2 with the fastest lap of the race.

Back in P2 after the two heats, he confirmed his position in the Prefinal by leading from start to finish. Placed on the outside of the front row in the final, the young Romanian knew that the start would be a key moment in the race. He managed to hold on to 2nd place in the first corner and overtook the leader on the second lap. Despite the pressure from the drivers just behind him, he didn't make the slightest mistake and won the Final with a sense of achievement.

The WSK Super Master Series, one of the most important competitions of the season, concludes on 1st-3rd March at the Naples International Circuit in Sarno. Bogdan Cosma Cristofor will start with a total of 368 points, while the 2nd-placed driver in the provisional standings has 271. Mathematically, the title is not yet in his hands, but Bogdan will be doing everything he can to secure another title.

Of course, when Bogdan Cosma Cristofor stepped off the podium, he didn't fail to congratulate his entire team: Jamie Croxford from Forza Racing, Luca Cavalli, his mechanic Manuel, Machac Motors, and his coach Cătălin Caloianu. Thanks are also due to all his partners: One Properties, Black Fire, Miko Dental, Miko Med, Urban Automobile, Rapundel, Novo Development, Energen România, not forgetting the International School of Bucharest.
