Bas Kaligis / Tuesday, March 14, 2023 / Categories: CIKFIA Birel ART: Tests in race conditions in Valencia The Birel ART Racing team prepared for the upcoming FIA European Karting Championship - OK & OK-Junior by participating in the first round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series at the Kartódromo Internacional Lucas Guerrero de Valencia in Spain. "There is no better test day than a race weekend to prepare for an important event, and that's what RGMMC gave us at the Champions of the Future Euro Series in Valencia: a full-scale test," said Riccardo Longhi, Birel ART Racing Team Manager. "It was essentially a matter of the team getting to grips with the Valencia circuit and bringing back as much data as possible with a view to the European Championship. Everyone worked hard, drivers and technicians alike, and we can be proud of everyone's efforts. The close collaboration with the Leclerc by Lennox Racing team has enabled us to make faster progress in the development of the equipment. The factory will be able to analyse in detail the course of the meeting and propose adapted solutions, as will our engine specialists in their workshop. The drivers have gradually gained confidence with the track layout and despite the ups and downs of the competition, some of them have made good progress. There is still a lot of room for improvement and we will have to work hard before the start of the European Championship which will take place in Valencia from 23 to 26 March."
