Bas Kaligis / Tuesday, July 31, 2018 / Categories: International Baby Race shines in Adria's Italian Championship It was an extremely heated run for Baby Race in the fifth round of the Italian Championship last weekend at Adria. At the northern Italian venue, Sandro Lorandi and his team secured victories and podium finishes in a really positive outing. In the Junior Rok class, Paolo Ferrari once again proved to be the absolute protagonist of the series, reaching the Finals ending up with a second place in Race 1 and a win in Race 2, despite starting from the seventh position. Diego Contecha placed 13th and 12th in the two finals respectively, while Tymoteusz Kucharczyk got a great sixth place in Race 2 before finishing 20th in the second. In the X30 category, Lorenzo Ferrari secured two podiums, finishing second and third in the two finals respectively. Last but not least, Baby Race was outstanding in the Mini class, with Coskun Irfan ending up fourth and second while Ean Eychmans took third in the first race before having to retire in the second. After an unlucky first race, Rafael Modonese fought hard and finished 11th in the second. On the other hand, Dion Gwonda and Giosuè Galbiati did make it through the qualifying heats and to the final.
