The Swiss racer is well known by the team, having competed with G4 Racing in the past two years, claiming two podiums in the Formula 4 Spanish Championship and several top-10 finishes in the Italian Formula 4 Championship. Gnos is the first driver to be announced by G4 Racing for the team’s maiden season in the brand-new Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine. For 2021, the Swiss squad will face a double commitment, competing in the FRECA championship alongside the confirmed Formula 4 entry. Today’s announcement is part of an expansion strategy that already saw the team expand from karting to F4 and now into FRECA. Axel Gnos (Driver): “I am stoked to make the step up to the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine and to stay with the G4 Racing family one more year. It is already my third full season with them, and they are a very professional team. I cannot wait to make my European debut in the new series!” Adrian Muñoz (Sporting and Technical Manager): "We are very satisfied to announce our first driver for the new Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine. Having Axel make the transition from Formula 4 to FRECA is the continuation of a solid relationship that developed side-by-side with the team’s progression. I am confident that Axel will adapt quickly to the new car and circuits."
