After making his competitive debut under the PREMA banner this season, the highly-promising 15-year-old Italian will stay committed to the Italian operation for his first complete season in single-seaters. The Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport Junior Driver performed impressively in the final three events of the 2021 Italian Formula 4 Championship, securing three overall podium finishes and four rookie wins. In 2022, Antonelli will enter the full Italian Formula 4 Championship as his main program with selected support events to be announced at a later date. Born in Bologna, Antonelli is one of the most widely-recognized and successful kart racers of his time. The young driver has a rich collection of honors which include - but it's not limited to - the WSK Champions Cup and the ROK Cup in the Mini class, the WSK Open Cup, Euro Series, Final Cup, and Super Master Series in OKJ, the WSK Euro Series and FIA European Championship in OK.
