Andrea Kimi Antonelli sets the pace in Hockenheim morning tests

This morning, the Hockenheim circuit played host to the second round of pre-collective testing for the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine, arriving at the German track for the season’s grand finale.

The reigning champion, Andrea Kimi Antonelli, driving for the Prema Racing team, claimed the top spot in the morning session. He clocked the fastest time of 1m37.424s, edging out Tim Tramnitz (R-ace GP) by a mere 68 milliseconds. Tramnitz, on his part, had previously secured the top position in the first timed session. German’s teammate, Martinius Stenshorne, secured the third-best time of the session, with a 0.157s gap away from Kas Haverkort. Van Amersfoort Racing’s driver occupied the fourth position, followed by Rafael Camara (Prema Racing) completing the top five as the session concluded.

Special mention goes to the three Trident Motorsport drivers, Nikhil Bohra, Roman Bilinski, and Owen Tanagvelou, who occupied the sixth to eighth positions in the rankings.

Rounding out the top 10 were Nikita Bedrin (Van Amersfoort Racing) and Alessandro Giusti (G4 Racing).
