Andrea Kimi Antonelli sets the pace at Zandvoort collective tests

Andrea Kimi Antonelli lit up the timesheets with the fastest time across both collective test sessions at Zandvoort. The Prema Racing driver showcased his exceptional skills, recording the fastest lap of 1m42.344s this afternoon on a wet track. He also led the field during the morning session, even in the challenging rainy conditions.

The Italian driver had a commanding lead, with a gap of just over a tenth ahead of his teammate Rafael Camara, who has increased his pace significantly, improving his performance by over a second compared to this morning’s session. Tim Tramnitz from R-ace GP secured the third spot after leading the group yesterday in the two pre-event collective tests.

Maceo Capietto from RPM delivered an impressive performance, finishing just 0.449 seconds behind Antonelli in fourth place. He was closely followed by Martinius Stenshorne (R-ace GP), who completed the session ahead of Alessandro Giusti (G4 Racing), anticipating on paper a good duel between the two rookies this weekend.

Joshua Duerksen (Arden Motorsport) was just 0.003 seconds behind in seventh place. Marcus Amand (ART Grand Prix), Nikhil Bora (Trident Motorsport), and his teammate Roman Bilinski rounded out the top-10. Notably, the top-10 drivers were separated by just over eight-tenths of a second.

The first Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine qualifying session of the weekend will go green at 10.10 am tomorrow ahead of a 15.35pm start for the seventeenth race of the season.

Live timing will be available throughout the day, while qualifying and Race 1 will be live-streamed on the official championship YouTube page.
