Alex Irlando joins Birel ART Racing Team

The 18 year-old from Locorotondo, Alex Irlando, joins Davide Forè and Ronni Sala as Birel ART Racing Team official driver in KZ and OK classes.

After two CIK-FIA titles, Alex Irlando and Sodikart part ways: “These two years have been really amazing. I’d like to thanks all the Sodikart from Mr. Pignolet and my former team manager Julien Dexmier to all the crew that supported me so hard in these period. I won a CIK-FIA International Super Cup and a CIK-FIA Endurance Championship, but what’s more important is that I grew a lot also thanks to my former teammates Anthony Abbasse, Bas Lammers and also Tom Joyner. I wish them all the best for the future. For me now it’s time to look forward to the next chapter of my career with the Birel ART Racing Team. For me it’s such an honour being selected by the 4-times World Champion Davide Forè and I’ll do my best to develop the material and take home some important results. I’d also thanks the TM Racing that is supporting me from a team to another.”

Alex tested in Lonato with the Red Army earlier this week and then they finalized their agreement. "We are delighted that Alex is coming to strengthen the Birel Racing Team - said Team Manager Davide Foré - He is a fast and intelligent driver with remarkable versatility. I am convinced that we will do a good job together and that the results will quickly confirm his strong potential as well as that of our equipment."

The program for the next season foresees a double commitment in both KZ and OK, taking part to WSK races and CIK-FIA European and World Championships.

Alex will participate to the CIK-FIA Prize Giving Ceremony in Geneva on December 1st.
