In the meantime he takes part to the third and penultimate round of the WSK Euro Series in Lonato, stage for the forthcoming FIA Karting KZ World Championship. Arrived in Lonato only on Friday because of his exams, Alex starts the weekend with the 13th chrono in qualifying, only 128 thousandths of second slower than the poleman. In the heats the BirelART’s driver finishes 5th, 6th, 14th and 10th grabbing 15th overall after heats. On Sunday morning, in the prefinal A, Alex recovers two positions from 8th up to 6th, starting the final on P11 on the grid. During the final on Sunday afternoon, Alex recovers another position, taking home a top ten finish. “It wasn’t an easy weekend: I had to focus on the exams on the previous days then I flew to Lonato and I didn’t have the opportunity to test, so we’ve made our adjustments during the weekend. In the end it wasn’t so bad, the competition was fierce and really close, but we’re there. Now it’s time to back at school to take home the diploma!” Here are the results of the weekend.
