Apulian Alex Irlando concludes the WSK Super Master series at Adria, first race after the long stop caused by Covid-19. The new format that squeezes two rounds in just one week is really demanding for teams and drivers, but that seems the only option to finish all the remaining rounds. Not really a good weekend: in the third round Alex takes 14th in qualifying, closing the heats on P15. In prefinal Alex recovers up to 6th, but in the last race on Friday he couldn’t go over P13. The fourth round is better: it starts with a 6th in qualy, confirmed throughout the heats, and takes P4 in prefinal. During the final he loses one position, closing the event in 5th. "It has been a tough week, physically and mentally demanding. In karting you can’t afford mistakes, and when you have two rounds in the same week you really don’t have a moment to stop and to relax. Anyway it was the same for everybody, so we need to work to close the gap with the other drivers. The technical package is really good, next week we’ll be in Sarno, my favourite track, so I’m looking forward to a good result there." Alex will return on track next week for the WSK Super Master Series in Sarno, Naples.
