Bas Kaligis / Monday, December 18, 2023 / Categories: Singleseater A significant victory for Suleiman Zanfari in F4 in Bahrain The F4 Saudi Arabia Trophy Event took place in Sakhir on the Bahrain International Circuit on 15th and 16th December 2023 in the presence of the elite of promising drivers from the MENA region and several well-known Europeans. Young Moroccan driver Suleiman Zanfari put in a first-class performance to take a solid victory on Day 2 of the Beyond Speed Weekend. Suleiman got the competition off to a good start in Free Practice and confirmed his mastery by claiming pole position in Qualifying. He set the fastest time in Race 1, finished on the podium in Race 4, and went on to win Race 2. Suleiman took the top step of the Bahrain podium with understandable pride as the kingdom celebrated its bank holidays. It was also the first victory for a Moroccan on the Bahrain Formula 1 circuit. After a most interesting career in international karting competitions, Suleiman Zanfari is now competing in single-seaters with undoubted success. A hopeful of Moroccan motorsport, he is highlighting his country's colours on circuits in Europe and the Middle East and has high ambitions for the rest of his single-seater career. Taking part in a major event in the MENA region means a great deal to him, especially as he was able to play the Kingdom of Morocco's national anthem on the top step of a much sought-after podium.
