A rich round of the Italian ACI Karting Championship in Siena with Irlando and Habulin joining KZ2

Alex Irlando (BirelArt) and Kristijan Habulin (TB Kart) joined the challenges of the KZ2 in the second round of the Italian ACI Karting Championship in Siena. On track also 60 Mini, KZN Under, KZN Over, Iame X30 Junior and Iame X30 Senior.

The entry list of the Italian ACI Karting Championship is growing for the round in Siena. The main title contenders of KZ2 will, in fact, be extended with the arrival of Alex Irlando on BirelArt and the Croatian driver Kristijan Habulin on TB Kart. Irlando has already been among the protagonists of the Italian Championship winning race-2 of the opener in Castelletto. The strong Italian driver is currently third in the classification at 33 points, but Habulin is also a strong KZ2 driver and will aim to the win in Siena.

Two excellent rivals like Irlando and Habulin will challenge classification leader Simone Cunati on CRG-Tm in KZ2. The Italian currently stands on top of the charts at 58 points after winning Castelletto’s race-1 and claiming P3 in race-2. Francesco Iacovacci (46 points) follows him on Maranello-Tm proceeding William Lanzeni (32 points) on track with CKR, Davide Forè (30 points) of Team Taglienti, Alessandro Buran (28 points) of VRK, Davide De Marco (21 points) of Team Driver, Giuseppe Palomba (15 points) of Mec Kart on Croc, Mauro Simoni (12 points) of Evokart, Cristopher Zani (8 points) of BRM. The top ten of Castelletto will be present in Siena ready to put in a great show. The Finn Paavo Tonteri on Tony Kart will try and slide among these drivers in his debut at the Italian Championship with his new team SC Performance.


Big numbers are expected in Siena as 60 Mini, KZN Under and KZN Over, Iame X30 Junior and Senior will also be present for a record participation in this early 2019.

60 Mini classification: 1. Macintyre points 54; 2. Scognamiglio 48; 3. Filaferro 42; 4. Tsolov 36; 5. Poswell 34.
X30 Junior classification: 1. Bertuca points 58; 2. Pulito 50; 3. Paparo 42; 4. Gallo 34; 5. Rossi and Megna 26.
X30 Senior classification: 1. Villa points 66; 2. Baracco 46; 3. Caglioni 44; 4. Carenini 38; 5. Comanducci 28.

PROGRAM. Thursday, June 6th free practice from 8.30 for X30 Senior, X30 Junior, 60 Mini, KZ2. The program will continue on Friday, June 7th with free practice of all categories including KZN, official practice and qualifying. Qualifying heats and second-chance races will take place on Saturday, June 9th. The double final of each category will take place on Sunday, June 9th from 9.40 and from 14.15.
