Bas Kaligis / Tuesday, July 23, 2024 / Categories: CIKFIA A difficult first weekend in Sweden for Charles Leclerc Kart Team On the Kristianstad track, the fourth round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series was not accompanied by positive results for the OK drivers using Birel ART / TM Kart packages. Pedro Hiltbrand and Matheus Morgatto would have had an influence in the Final, but their performances were unfortunately cut short. Morgatto had put in some encouraging performances with the CL Kart team, including 4th and 5th places in the first Qualifying Heats. In his first OK competition since 2022, Pedro Hiltbrand scored two top-six finishes in the heats. Despite retiring in the Super Heat, Morgatto made a very good start to the Final, making up 13 places in seven laps before retiring, with Hiltbrand only able to complete three laps. "It was a tough weekend for the whole team," explained Birel ART Racing team manager Jordon Lennox-Lamb. "We weren't able to use our potential due to a series of unfavourable circumstances. We'll be working hard on the data recorded at Kristianstad to put ourselves in a better position for the next round of the FIA Karting European Championship at the same circuit in a fortnight's time.” Previous Article Brad Jenner becomes first 2024 Australian Kart Champion Next Article Heated battle at the German Kart Championship in Kerpen Print 258 Rate this article: No rating Tags: OKPedro HiltbrandFIA Karting European ChampionshipMatheus MorgattoBirel ART Racing TeamJordon Lennox-LambKristianstad trackChampions of the Future Euro SeriesBirel ART / TM KartCharles Leclerc Kart TeamCL Kart team Comments Please login or register to post comments.
