Jorge Edgar kept his powder dry until it really mattered as the United Kingdom star stormed through the field to win gold in the Karting Sprint Jr category.

Team Portugal claimed a brilliant gold medal in the Karting Mini Final as Xavier Lázaro prevailed at the end of a pulsating 11-lap battle.

With Karting Endurance kicking off the first of the medal races at Aspar Circuit yesterday, today is the turn of Karting Mini, Karting Sprint Jr and Karting Sprint Sr. All three categories had one remaining Heat outstanding on Sunday morning, with the results contributing to the grid positions for each Final.

The third edition of the FIA Motorsport Games has officially begun. A total of 646 athletes from 82 countries will compete in no fewer than 26 categories, a significant increase from the 16 categories of last time in France and the six categories of the first edition in Italy. The Rally category has been expanded from three to nine categories, while GT Single Make, Esports F4, Karting Mini and Cross Car Mini are also new.
