More than 75 attendees were a part of the second Karting Australia Building Better Kart Clubs Conference held in Melbourne last weekend. Club and State representatives from every State in Australia and the Northern Territory, along with members of the karting industry attended the two-day event.

Kimi Raikkonen has a break from the Formula 1 and therefore also more time for his family. The Finnish F1-driver thought it was time for his 4 year old son Robin to go in a go-kart for the first time. “Aceman begins” says the caption below the photo that Raikkonen has put on Instagram.

An incident stopped Federer run in DKM’s KZ2 at Genk. Trefilovs dominant in KZ2 Cup, Bernardotto fifth

Federer has been involved in an incident at the start of one heat in the fourth round of DKM and this prevented him from taking part in the two finals in Genk. Trefilovs won again in KZ2 Cup, while Bernardotto got on the podium with a great P5.

Stan and Jorrit Pex finished first and second in the final race Sunday at Round 4 of the DKM international German Kart Championship last weekend, making it two double podiums for the successful Dutch brothers in the KZ2 class at their local circuit of Karting Genk – ‘Home of Champions’. With a dominant performance in the extremely competitive shifter class, it was a brilliant result for the team to take the victory and score valuable points towards the 2019 title.

Kas Haverkort claims another podium at a challenging DKM weekend in Genk

Round 4 of the international German Kart Championship was where Kas Haverkort was aiming to once more reinstate himself as a sure title contender, having led the highly competitive OK Senior class in the premier national series from the opening round in Lonato, Italy already. With countless issues thrown at the young Dutch driver throughout the following rounds, the 15-year old again displayed his impressive racing skills to secure yet another podium finish in Belgium.
