Due to the Covid-19 pandemic currently spreading in Europe and much of the world, the CIK-FIA has had to change the schedule for the start of the 2020 season.

Around 150 drivers headed to the "Home Of Champions" in the first weekend of March, representing 16 different nations, to battle against the very best in Rotax racing circles, with six different classes in action.

The Corona virus also causes a postponement in the German Kart Championship. The season kick-off was supposed to take place in Ampfing from May 8th – 10th. The race is now being moved to October.

Motorsport UK, the British Kart Championships and all associated stakeholders have collectively agreed to postpone the start of the 2020 season until 1 May at the earliest.

A Formula 1 driver with the Force India team in 2017 and 2018, Esteban developed with the support of Mercedes AMG F1 until 2019 before returning to the wheel with the Renault F1 Team alongside Daniel Ricciardo for 2020.
