Coming from a family strongly involved in kart racing, the young Dutchman Marijn Kremers found the Holy Grail at the age of 21 by being crowned 2019 FIA Karting World Champion - KZ on the Lonato circuit (ITA). Owing to the global COVID-19 pandemic, W Series, the international single-seater motor racing series for female drivers only, today announces that it will not stage on-track races until 2021. The decision not to proceed with W Series’ eight-race on-track programme for 2020 – which was scheduled to start in St Petersburg, Russia, on May 30 and finish in Mexico City, Mexico, on October 31 – has been taken in consultation with the FIA, F1, DTM and W Series’ partners and suppliers. However, plans are already in place for a bigger and better W Series season in 2021, including at least two races on the Formula 1 calendar, in Austin, Texas, USA, and in Mexico City, Mexico

Having spent months entertaining fans by streaming his virtual racing exploits, Lando Norris has returned to a physical cockpit for the first time since pre-season testing in February, as he took the wheel of a Formula 3 racer to try and get himself back in the groove ahead of F1’s return in July. The McLaren driver teamed up with the Carlin squad with which he won the 2017 European Formula 3 championship for the test at Silverstone this week.
